Ford Tri-power FE 390 427 428 3x2 Intake and 2x4 Manifold PCV Kit
You're looking at a complete PCV assembly for a FE tri-power and early 2x4 LR intake. The downside of the tri-power and 2x4 LR intake has always been the lack of vacuum ports, only being 1 at the rear of the intake. This is a complete kit that not only provides vacuum for your PCV assembly but also provides 2 additional vacuum sources that can accommodate power brakes and automatic transmission vacuum modulator valve if so desired. Although this is geared towards the tri-power and 2x4 LR intake, this will work on any FE intake that uses the 3/8 NPT port at the rear of the intake. With this kit you can run your PCV set up out of the back of the intake or you can use a block off plate and use your valve cover. All parts and brass made out of the highest quality US components. Other underengineered PCV kits will try to sell you kits that install the PCV valve directly into the separator basket at the back of the intake. Never install your PCV valve into the separator basket, Ford knew this over 60 years ago!
Always install your PCV valve upstream of the oil separator basket and allow the oil and moisture to coalesce before entering the PCV system. They obviously have a limited knowledge on how to install a successful PCV system.
This is what is included in our kit. Premium Billet aluminum oil separator basket with coalescing stainless steel mesh filter. Factory PCV plate with gasket impervious to heat and oil and attaching screws for the 1/4-28 thread pitch of the factory intake.
Brass fitting with PCV valve and provisions for power brakes and vacuum modulator valve. If you're using a manual transmission you can cap off the modulator valve fitting or use it for something of your choice, such as a vacuum gauge. 1/2" x 12" hose w/hose clamps.
